[[start page]] [[preprinted]] 12 [[/preprinted]] September 22. Scorpius. Examination of Plates for Variable (Uranus and Saturn Plates) Plate D 10902 = A 3632, June 13, 1899 Exp. 240m Superposed with A 3227, Aug. 16, 1898, Exp. 60m 4 Variables marked 1 Probable variable One of the variables is in M.80 and the other two very near it. The two latter are probably R and S Scorpii. Asteroid trail [[strikethrough]] Two [[/strikethrough]] Three objects near Saturn are probably satellites. On plate D 10311 they are marked: Hyperion, Japetus and Titan. Plate A 3690, July 7, 1899 Exp. 273m Marked 4 stars almost certainly variable Also the variable in M.80 Asteroid trail Superposed the plates directly and examined the nebulous region in the south following portion of the plate, as the contact plate is very black and difficult to use. Three of the 4 variables are in the nebulous region.
