He should let you handle the matter and should if possible send you the good photograph. If he is not going to be able to come to Zurich (as it now looks) he should inform the Bank that you are dealing with me and that you will talk to them for him, and of course, for me.

Should the picture  finally be cleared so that there is no danger from the Spanish Govt authorities, which there now very defieitely[?] is, the payment for the picture could be put to his account in the Bar before the painting is released. It must have an export permit or course.

My friend is coming to France the first week in June and could get in touch with you for developing the idea further. In the meantime, you can send on a copy of his letter to me for what efforts I can make or think of making.

It would be too bad if he decides to do the business without you as you would lose your comission after having interested yourself so much.

I will take up with my friend the matter of your El Greco as soon as I get to New York.
