February 16th., 1939. Dear Mr. Hannen: I duly received your letter of February 2nd., in which you forwarded copy of your recent correspondence with Mr. Schiff, for which I thank you. The MOREAU drawing should, of course, be included in an auction, but it seems to me that it would be wise to postpone this for a while, as there are so many people, I suppose, who would recognize it now, whereas in a little while they likely will have forgotten it. It is too bad that you were unable to even get as modest an offer as a Guinea for the prints. Would you be so good as to keep them for the time being, as I understand that it is Mr. Schiff's desire to dispose of them - probably in some complimentary way. I don't know whether it is Mr. Schiff's intention to write you on the two above mentioned topics. Should he not, having talked to him recently, I am entitled to tell you that this letter represents his views. With very best regards, I am, Yours sincerely, (Germain Seligmann) Gordon Hannen, Esq., Christie, Manson & Woods, 8 King Street, St. James's Square, London, S.W.1, England.
