AM/TW 12th October, 1956.

Madam,

Mr. Germain Seligman of New York has written me telling me that you have a number of works of art including Italian paintings, French modern paintings and some high quality Chippendale furniture which you are thinking of selling. He has suggested that I write to offer you the services of my firm.

I should be very glad to hear from you and to help you in every way I possibly can.

Our charge for selling pictures and furniture in London is 10% and this includes all the expenses of sale, with the exception of insurance, after all property is delivered to us here. The autumn season has just started in London and there is a tremendous demand for quality goods.

I am quite sure that, if you decide to sell, we can be of great service to you. I have been a friend of Germain Seligman for many years.

                          Yours truly,

Mrs. G. Gruber,
5, Rue de Regard,
Paris 5.
