I, the undersigned, President of Jacques Seligmann & Co., Inc. 5 East 57th Street, New York, U.S.A. dealers in paintings and other works of art, hereby certify that the following two paintings
[[underlined]] "Jeu du Cheval Fondu" by LANCRET [[/underlined]] and painting representing [[underlined]] King Louis XIV and Mlle de la Valliere by SCHALL [[/underlined]] are the property of one of my firm's clients, an American Citizen, residing in New York U.S.A.

These two paintings were shipped from New York to Paris to be shown to a prospective customer. They are now being sent from Paris to London in order to be auctioned by Messrs. Christie, Manson & Woods Ltd. London.  Messrs. J. Chenue are acting as my firm's agents.
