My dear Sirs:

The International Horse Show -- not real horses but the horse in art -- will be held at the Knoedler Galleries, 14 East 57th Street, from the 20th of March to the 1st of April.

This exhibition is being staged for the benefit of The Social Service of Memorial Hospital (Free Nursing Care for Cancer Patients).

Paddocks will be provided for the entries -- bronze horses will be grouped with their metallic counterparts -- porcelain steeds will be shown apart from wooden horses -- glass horses will be separated from Copenhagen china equines. Age limitations will be disregarded -- two-year-olds will vie with century-olds. The skill of the craftsmen of ancient China will meet the talent of the best contemporary artists on the subject common to art throughout the ages -- the horse. A committee of art experts will award blue, red and yellow ribbons for the best entries.

Won't you please enter your horses-in-art in the International Horse Show by filling out the enclosed blank? By so doing you will not only be aiding a worthy cause but also conferring favor upon connoisseurs of art and lovers of horses.

Your cooperation will be most heartily appreciated, and your entries will be assured of the best of care.

Cordially yours,
