[[underlined]]Attention: - Mr. Germain Seligmann[[/underlined]]

Gentlemen:

Inasmuch as you have consented to cooperate in an exhibition of flower and garden paintings to be held from July 15th through August 1st at the Guild Hall, East Hampton, the writer takes this occasion to thank you for your cooperation and to ask you to keep this letter as a reminder.

Messrs. Wildenstein & Company and Durand-Ruel Galleries have agreed to lend four or five pictures each, making a total of sixteen or eighteen fine paintings representative of XVII to XX Century flower painting.

There is no need to specify exactly what pictures will be lent at this time but along about the 15th of June a catalogue will have to be made up, at which time the four galleries could decide among ourselves how we could best be represented.

Budworth will collect the paintings, take them to East Hampton, hang them and return them to the dealers at the end of the show. [[underlined]] It is hoped by the Garden Club of Long Island, who are sponsoring the show, that our insurance will cover.[[/underlined]]

Very truly yours,
