June 18th, 1942.

Mr. Germain Seligmann,
5 East 57th Street,
New York City.

Dear Germain:

This is an urgent appeal to you for a contribution to the USO.

I am well aware of the many demands there are on your purse, as there are on my own. On the other hand, bad as things may be for us, we are both eating three meals a day, and living comfortably in our own homes. If we are to have a self-respecting share in the Victory, we must have a share, also, in the Fight. And there is no better way to do this than to do what we can for the men who have left their private lives behind them to fight for us and for everything that makes the future worth while.

Will you please read the two enclosed leaflets, read them carefully, and then send me a cheque for as much as possible? If you prefer, you can send your contribution direct to H. Donald Campbell, Treasurer, 57 William Street; but BE SURE and send it today.

Faithfully yours,
