December 15, 1965

Dear Sir:

Mr. W. J. Verco, Chester Herald of Arms, had suggested earlier that we contact you and we therefore wrote to your office on November 3rd. Since we have not as yet received a reply to this letter we believe it may have been lost in the rush of holiday mail, and we are now taking the liberty of writing to you again.

Mr. Verco thought that you might be able to help us with the identification of a departmental seal. We have enclosed a photograph of the seal in the hope that it will be possible for you to undertake this research. The photograph is somewhat difficult to decipher, but perhaps it will be sufficiently legible.

If you do find the photograph adequate and are able to help us in the identification, would you be good enough to let us know whether a fee would be involved?

With many thanks for your assistance,

Yours very sincerely,

(Mrs.) Betty Morrison Childs
