Description - Framed Oil Painting of "Saint Cecilia" by Bernardo Strozzi, Italian Baroque artist of the period 1581-1664, portraying Saint Cecilia with a musical instrument and palm of Martyrdom. Suitable gilt frame. The dimensions of the picture without frame are approximately 48" wide x 72" high.

This picture was sent to this country in 1938 by Italico Brass, a well known art collector and painter of Venice, Italy, for exhibition and eventual sale. It was exhibited at the William Rockhill Nelson Gallery of Art, Kansas City, Mo. for several years.

Paintings by Bernardo Strozzi are to be found in the permanent collection of the following Museums in the United States:
