December 5, 1928

Collector of Internal Revenue
Custom House
New York, N.Y.

Dear Sir:

Mr. Clyfford Trevor, a British subject, wishes to visit England and France and requests a sailing permit for the SS "Berengaria", sailing on December 14th, 1928. He arrived in this country during September, 1928, and from that time to this date had no income to be reported.

As it is impossible at this time to ascertain the amount of income earned by him during 1928 and upon consideration of your issuing the necessary sailing permit, we guarantee the payment of any taxes that may be due.

Very truly yours,
JACQUES SELIGMANN & CO., Inc.,
