nothing about them, but I told him that I knew that you had asked for her services, and when you found you could not get them you had not left any instructions with me in regard to the drawings. The day before Bartsch was to return she had nothing to do so I managed to have her ink in a few of my drawings, but I can tell you her work does not compare very well with Miss Weiser's. I am very sorry as she asked me to give her any outside work I had. 

Miss Catlin is off on one her professional visits to Saulsbury. She confided to me the other day that you had said to her that you hoped her health would be better when you got back. 

The month of August was very delightful and cool here. I take a day off now and then and spent it at our island. I hope to take the day after labor day and the preceeding Saturday morning. We want to take a truck load of lumber
