[[top of page significantly torn]]

After a widow[[torn]]
solaced by a m[[torn]] love, [[torn]]
and happiness, came a second marriage.
This time with disilusionments.
Added to this was an ever growing heart-ache, caused by the failing health of a beloved and only daughter.
Some compensation however lay in the fact, that a home was provided and there was a yard where flowers and vegetables could be grown.
At this time a friend loaned me a "Burpees Annual."
Seeds were sent for, planted and watched with care.
Then came results, - the ever amazing beauty of resurrection and life.
Heartache, disappointment and sorrow were made lighter by my interest in the ever increasing wealth of blossoms that grew under my hand.
From the earliest spring, through the summer, and until frost, I had fresh flowers daily, for my rooms.
For an ameteur I was quite successful, and not only my days were brightened, but I was able to gladden others, by sharing my blooms with them.
