Fate thrust us to a bungalow on a city lot fifty by one-hundred feet. On the west was a hedge of bridal wreath. We set another the length of the east side with lilacs and syringas at the back making the basis, also the end of our money, for landscape gardening. It needed another hundred dollars. Burpee supplied the lack . We made a wide bed the length of the east hedge, bought seeds of perennials
