"What Burpee's Seeds Have Done for Me."
   How can one live without the joy of a garden?
  I am a young girl and raise a half acre of Burpee's vegetables and flowers. All the work is done by myself, except the Spring plowing which costs three dollars, and my garden rivals those of my gentlemen  neighbors.
   Beside supplying our table, canning dozens of jars of tomatoes, beans, lima beans and corn and giving quite a bit away, I sell over fifteen dollars worth of vegetables to neighbors and restaurants who call for them rather than purchase from a neighbor who delivers his produce. Quality counts! As no one else raises the Country Gentlemen corn or Ponderosa tomato, these and lima beans are the most sought for vegetables. This income greatly exceeds my expenditures for plowing and seeds.
  This is my first attempt with celery and I am delighted with its success.
