What Burpee's Seeds have done for me. [[/underline]]

Six years ago I came to Cape Breton and opened "Bairncroft "Orphanage. which is built on a lot of containing 40 acres. As soon as the land could be put into proper condition for flowers I planted Burpee's sweet peas. These came to such perfection in this climate that every year since I have planted extensively both flower and vegetable seeds.

The vegetables have supplied our table abundantly and the flowers have made our grounds very beautiful - increasing to alarge extent the value of the Home. They have called forth words of admiration and commendation from many visitors that delight to come here in the summer season.Besides the happiness they have given me with their beauty and fragrance they have been an assistant teacher to me in helping to educate the dear little orphans in the mysteries of plant life and the refining influence they have exerted can only be compared to the pebble cast into the lake whose ripples widening and widening never stop until they reach the farther shore.
