Mr. Robert M. Levy,
Jacques Seligmann and Company, Inc.,
Three East Fifty-first Street,
New York, N. Y.

Dear Mr. Levy:

Thanks to the many generous loans, the Central Illinois Art Exposition of Old and Modern Masters in Bloomington was acknowledged one of the most interesting exhibition experiments held in this country. I wish to thank you for your part in bringing to thousands of people in Central Illinois paintings of major importance.

The exhibition was viewed by almost fifty thousand people, most of whom never previously had the opportunity to see an important art exhibition. Over twenty thousand students were personally conducted through the beautifully lighted galleries by competent lecturers. Twelve thousand catalogues were sold many of which were mailed to various parts of this country and Europe.

You have probably seen many of the articles and reproductions which have appeared on the exhibtion in Time and Life magazines, Newsweek, the New York Times Rotogravure, the Art Digest, the Art News, Parnassus, and by means of various syndicates, throughout the United States.

It is to be hoped that all this favorable publicity may serve as a stimulus for the development of an increased appreciation of art in the smaller cities in America.

With my sincere acknowledgment to you and Mr. Seligmann, I am,

Very truly yours,
