GS/M

December 22nd, 1934.

Dear Parsons,

Herein please find pamphlet on our Hubert Robert portrait by J. H. FRAGONARD. You will find in it not only full description, but also its full pedigree and where it has been exhibited.

In London where it was shown in the great exhibition of French Art organized with the cooperation of the officials of the Louvre Museum, it was particularly admired.

The price we are asking for it is $40,000. but for a Museum, we would be glad to reduce this materially and bring it to $35,000.

For your own information, I would like to remind you of a portrait by FRAGONARD which was in the Elbert H. Gary Collection sold at auction in April, 1928, under #26. This painting, which was purchased by Mr. Charles Hayden, for $52,000. has within an inch exactly the same dimensions as ours.

With the Season's Greetings,

Pray believe me to be
Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)
