March 4. Got up early, took up traps, caught nothing of use. Made 3 skins, packed up & started for Ft. Mohave at about 10 A.M. Found a Phanopeplas nest with 3 eggs. Caught 3 horntoads & a very pretty swift. Reached the Ft. at 3:20 P.M. & got our mail & supplies & then went down by a lake 3 miles south of the fort & camped. One bat came around early but the first shot missed it & it left. Warm & cloudy. " [[ditto for: March]] 5 Rained in the night some through the day. Keays left in the morning.
