May 1. Went to traps. caught some Hesperomys & Thomomys Shot some birds.

Did'nt get the Beaver. 

Made skins in P.M.

A warm day.

" [[ditto for: May]] 2 Went to traps & hunted as usual. Caught but little. Shot some birds. Had but few skins to make so went out along the west road in afternoon & shot birds for gizzards. Found them eating treeworms & oats.

A warm day, cloudy towards night.
