May 22. Took up traps. made 2 skins & begun a report. Went to town in P.M.

Got mail & instruction for proceeding. 

A warm day, 101 [[degree symbol]] at 1 P.M.

" [[ditto for: May]] 23 Finished report & packed the specimens.

" [[ditto for: May]] 24 Went to town, sent the box of specimens, & left Phoenix For Tucson at 1 P.M., reached Tucson at 7 P.M. Took some notes along the R.R. Saw lots of Jack Rabbits from Maricopa to Tucson.

A hot day & a dusty ride. Put up at the Palace Hotel.
