March 21, 1946

Dear Mr. Neupert:

I want to thank you very much for your lines of April 1941 and the two photographs of pictures belonging to Dr. Eissler that accompanied them, which we just received. It took quite a long time to come, but anyhow here it is.

I was happy to have this delayed news from you and take the opportunity to ask you whether you could offer us any painting, drawing, watercolor or gouache of interest to us. I mean of the French 19th or 20th century (amongst the French artists of the 19th century in which we are interested), I would mention mainly PICASSO, BRAQUE, VUILLARD, BONNARD, JUAN GRIS, LA FRESNAYE, MATISSE and maybe also outstanding paintings of previous periods.

Thanking you,

Very truly yours,

(Georges E. Seligmann)
