" [[ditto for: Jan,]] 25 Came to Marfa in a heavy wagon, came slow & hunted & picked up stones along road. Saw a hawk that was probably Falco mexicana on a nest in a hole high up on the face of a cliff.
Shot a Rabbit that is in size between the two others got at Lloyds. Saw lots of Rabbits & Prairie Dogs. Otocoris & Longspurs numerous.
A hot day. I sweat sitting still with my coat off.
