Mr. James St. L. O'Toole
c/o Jacques Seligmann & Co., Inc.
3 East 51st Street
New York, N.Y.

Dear Mr. O'Toole:

Thank you so much for your letter just handed me on my return to the city. The former communication of which you enclose a copy I did not receive.

I have thought a good deal about the exhibition in question and am of course most interested in holding it. In fairness to you, however, we must say that things in Chicago are still at a standstill but may get under way a bit before the holidays.

I think it would be a mistake to try anything too soon after Xmas, but by the end of January we ought to be able to do something--perhaps the last week in the month would be desirable. Let me know of your own feeling in the matter.

I look forward to a favorable solution of a date with you and every co-operation will be ours.

With good wishes, believe me,

Very truly yours,

^[[Alice Roullier]]
