Gentlemen;

Having noticed your advertisement in the [[underline]]NEW YORK TIMES[[/underline]] with a great deal of interest, we want to call your attention to a painting by MONTICELLI which can be seen here, at our galleries, at the above address.

This painting is a portrait of a most attractive young woman, impressive by its size (1,48m x 1,13) as well as by the beauty of the sitter. *

This portrait can be considered as one of the leading masterpieces by this artist - in fact, a curator of the Louvre museum considers it as a masterpiece of portraiture,of France in the 19th century.

It will be reproduced shortly in the monograph on MONTICELLI which an American art historian is working on at present.

Trusting we may have the privilege of your visit,

Yours very sincerely,

JACQUES SELIGMANN & CO., INC.
(Germain Seligman, President)
