March [[strikethrough]]27[[/strikethrough]] ^[[28]], 1973

Dear Sir;

Your letter of March 16th is much appreciated and I am happy to answer your inquiry about the paintings we have at present.

These are essentially of past centuries, one,,of the SCHOOL OF FONTAINEBLEAU, representing "Lot and His Daughters". You have of course heard of the current exhibition of the FONTAINEBLEAU SCHOOL, organized by the Louvre Museum, and held in Paris - it is now at the National Gallery of Canada, in Ottawa.

This manifestation has of course stimulated interest in this period of the Renaissance in France, in the 16th century. And, I should add, paintings of the FONTAINBLEAU SCHOOL are quite rare indeed.

Also, of exceptional quality and physical importance is a painting by G.D. TIEPOLO, brilliant in colors and most attractive in subject.

These paintings are fully recorded and mentioned in books written by the experts specializing in these fields.

We have also other paintings of the French School of the 17th century.

This limited enumeration will give you, I assume, an idea of the type and quality of the works of art my firm handles.

Hoping that I will hear further from you, and particularly have the pleasure of meeting you here in New York,

With best greetings,

Yours very sincerely,

Germain Seligman
