Dear Mr. Uchiyama;

Upon my return to New York I duly found your most pleasant letter of January 25th.

I would like to assure'you of the very personal interest I am taking in your plans, not only while you are still at the Takashimaya Department Store but also, and particularly, int the opening of your own Art Gallery.

You mention also the visit you are planning to our country, and I am much looking forward to your calling at my galleries.

There are several paintings here of different periods of art, which I feel certain whould be of great interest to you.

I do feel that a direct approach is the only way to judge of the merit of these works of art, for photographs, I think, are most unsatisfactory.

I would greatly appreciate hearing further from you, and with personal regards,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman
