January 16th, 1933.

Dear Mr. Kelley:

I have been without news from you for quite some time, and contrary to the belief, I feel this time that - "No news is [[underlined]]bad[[/underlined]] news".

I was told that some of the paintings you bought at the Mulliken auction were for the Gs. Without being indiscreet, is it so? I won't mind, of course, if you don't answer this very direct question.

I do think that I should go to Philadelphia, and do you think I could take advantage of this visit to call on the Gs? It would be difficult for me to go this week or next, but do you know anything about their plans, and do they contemplate going South? - as I would then have, of course, to act accordingly.

Yours very sincerely,

(George Seligmann)
