The Los Angeles Rams (Continued)

GIL BOULEY--Tackle, is one of the three Boston College All-Americans acquired by the Rams. He made good right away by landing a spot as the regular in 1945 right tackle. Gill is the fastest lineman on the club despite his 235 pounds. He is 24 and 6 ft. 2 in.

EBERLE SCHULTZ--Tackle, of Oregon State, the Rams' regular left tackle, is one of the biggest and strongest men in football.  He is 6 ft. 4 in. tall and weighs 250.  Age is 28.  Eb has played six years in the league, most of the time with Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. He joined the Rams in 1945 and became their best tackle.

LEN LEVY--Tackle, whose nickname is "Butch" like that of his pal, Les Lear, was an All-American guard at Minnesota.  There, too, he became National Intercollegiate wrestling champion and was also National A.A.U. mat king after which he became a top ranking professional wrestler.  He is 24, 6 ft. and weighs 260.

ROGER EASON--Tackle, from University of Oklahoma, is one of the strongest men on the team. He was a Sgt. with the U. S. 1st Army in the ETO and was one of the best freshmen on the club in 1945. He is 28, 6 ft. 1 in., 225.

CLYDE "BIG" JOHNSON--Tackle, is the most massive individual on the Ram Club. He stands 6 ft, 6 1/2 in. tall and weighs 265 pounds. The former Kentucky All-American is a freshman in the league.

JIM BENTON--End, is the greatest pass receiver in football today and second only to Don Hutson in the National League's all-time greats in this department. Last year Big Jim of Arkansas led the league with 1067 yards gained receiving passes in league play, and in the Detroit game he set a new league record of catching 10 passes for 303 yards. This is Jim's 8th year in the Big Time. He is 30, 6 ft. 3 in. and 206 pounds.

STEVE PRITKO--End, like Benton an All-League end in 1945 was rated the best defensive end in the circuit last year. Pritko was second to Benton among the Rams as a pass receiver. He is a graduate of Villanova and received his Master's Degree at Colombia. Steve is 24, 6 ft. 2 in., 208.

HOWARD "RED" HICKEY--End, who backs up Benton at left end, was a sophomore at Arkansas when Benton and Ray Hamilton were seniors. He played for Great Lakes Navy.  Red is 29, 6 ft. 2 in., 203.

RAY HAMILTON--End, 6 ft. 4 in. Razorback, played three years of varsity football at right end for Arkansas while Benton was holding down the left wing. Ray has played with Detroit and Philadelphia. He is 30 and weighs 210.

BEN HIGHTOWER--End, who played at Sam Houston in Texas, is the fastest runner of any of the Ram

JAY MAC DOWELL--End, 208-pound red-head from the University of Washington, is as strong defensively as any wingman who turned out for the 1946 Rams. He was an All-Coast end for Jimmy Phelan at Washington. He comes from Oak Park, Ill. he is 27 and 6 ft. 3 in. tall.

BOB SHAW--End, was an All-American at Ohio State. He finished the 1945 season with the Rams after having served in the ETO. He is noted for his pass receiving. He is 24, 6 ft. 4 in., weighs 220.

FRED GEHRKE--Back, last year the leading ball carrier in the league on average ground gained per play (6.3), is the No. 1 left halfback of the Rams. The former Utah boy has developed into a brilliant open field runner and pass receiver. Fred is 28, 5 ft. 11 in., 190.

BOB WATERFIELD--Back, All-League quarterback and in 1945 voted unanimously the Most Valuable Player in professional football, is a Van Nuys boy who started on the road to gridiron fame at U.C.L.A. and reached the top as a Ram. Last year Bob was one of the best passers in the league. He was one of the leading kickers, scorers, pass defense men, conversion kickers and ball handlers. Bob is 26, 6 ft. 1 inch and weighs 190.

WOODROW STRODE--End, rangy Negro from U.C.L.A., is one of the great all-around ends of Pacific Coast football. Woody played for the 4th Air Force and the Hollywood Rangers. He is 31, 6 ft. 3 in. tall, weighs 205.

JIM GILLETTE--Back, regular right halfback of the Rams last year, is from the University of Virginia. He was with the Rams in 1944 also. Jim was second to Gehrke in the entire league in average ground gained, 6.1. He is 28, is 6 ft. 1 in. and 185.

PAT WEST--Back, the Rams' regular fullback from the 1945 team, started his career at Pittsburgh and then played at Southern California where he started the Rose Bowl of 1945 against Tennessee. He is 23, 6 ft., weighs 200.

TOM HARMON--Back, needs no introduction to gridiron fans anywhere. He is the biggest name football has known since Red Grange. His many long touchdown runs for Michigan are legendary. Tom was a war hero who came back twice from the dead, once in Dutch Guiana and later from behind Jap lines in China. Tom is 26, 6 ft. 1 in., 197.

MIKE HOLOVAK--Back, was an All-American fullback at Boston College and is the best man the Rams have at socking a line. Mike was pilot of the PT boat in the Pacific during the war. He is 27, 6 ft. 1 in., weighs 210.
