Dear Colin:

Upon my return to this city I duly found the photographs of the paintings by Boilly from the Wallace and Alfred Lowwenstein collections, you were so good as to so promptly forward to me. I deeply appreciate your courtesy.

I have just returned from a rather hectic trip to Europe and am sorry indeed I did not have an opportunity of seeing you, as visiting you is always most pleasant.
