Messrs. Day & Meyer, Murray & Young, Inc.,
1166 Second Avenue,
New York City.

Dear Sirs:

We have to make a special shipment of pictures for the Exhibition of French Art held at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, England, and would like you to take charge of the collecting, packing and delivering complete shipment. The collecting has to be done on Monday, November 23rd, at the following addresses:

1. - At Mr. A. Conger Goodyear, 116 East 66th Street, New York City, Painting by GAUGUIN, "The Spirit Watches", (Figure of a Girl).

2. - At Mr. Ernst Rosenfeld, 820 Park Avenue, New York City, Painting by the MaƮtre de Moulins, "Portrait of a Man at Prayer".

3. - At Mr. Herbert N. Straus, 1144 Park Avenue, New York City, Drawing by SAINT-AUBIN, "The Irruption of Singers in Costume".

These pictures have to be packed in the most expert way, each in a separate tin-lined inside case, and we would ask you to use your best men to do that work.

With the picture - "Man at Prayer", is a shadow box, from which the picture may be withdrawn, if you think it better, on [[strikethrough]] [[?]] possible breakage of the glass of the box. [[/strikethrough]]

The picture by GAUGUIN may be left in the frame, and also the drawing, but the glass will have to be lined with strips of strong paper to prevent breakage.

After collecting these three pictures, they will have to be brought to our galleries, as the GAUGUIN will have to be put in another frame, the old frame to remain at our galleries.

If this shipment makes more than one case, please notify us of the contents of each. The shipment is to go per SS "Olympic", sailing November 28th for Southampton, England, and will be called for by our forwarding agents, Messrs. Hirshbach & Smith, 2 Stone Street, on Wednesday, November 25th.
