The number of bird skins entered during the month in the Museum register is 379 (Catalogue nos 104,914 - 105,292); of eggs, 9 (Catalogue Nos. 22,351 - 22,359).

The more important accessions are the following:-

[[double-underline]]Ridgway, R.[[/double-underline]] (Acc. Nos. 16092 and 16212).- 259 Specimens, 109 species, from Wheatland, Indiana; 23 specimens, 14 species, from Richland Co., Illinois. Total, 281 specimens 123 species. (Smithsonian Expl.)

[[double-underline]]Shufeldt, Dr. R.W., U.S.A.[[/double-underline]] (Acc. 16221.) 13 Specimens, 9 species, from Ft. Wingate, New Mexico. (One species, a [[underline]]Junco[[/underline]], probably new.) (Gift.).

[[double-underline]]Jordan, Prof. D.S.[[/double-underline]], (Acc. 15907) - 43 specimens 37 species, from the lower Amazon; 13 species entirely new to the collection! (Gift.).

[[double-underline]]McIlwraith, Thos.[[/double-underline]] (Acc. 16238).- 3 specimens, 2 species ([[underline]]Peucaea cassini[[/underline]] and [[underline]]Centurus aurifrons[[/underline]] from Texas (Exchange).
