[[underlined]] Burdette Hassett [[/underlined]], Howard Centre, Iowa. - One specimen of a young [[underlined]] Buteo harlani [[/underlined]] in the flesh. A very valuable accession! (Gift).

[[underlined]] The Mexican Geographical and Exploring Commission, through Professor F. Ferrari Perez [[/underlined]]. - 95 specimens (mounted mostly in excellent style), 59 species, collected in the States of Puebla and Vera Cruz, Mexico, forming part of the Mexican government exhibit at New Orleans.  A very valuable acquisition to the collection, especially on account of the excellence of the mounting.  Several species are thus for the first time added to the exhibition series, while many old and poorly mounted specimens have been replaced by those of the present collection.  (Exchange).
