One specimen of a new species, [[underlined]] Cotinga ridgwayi Zeledon, [[/underlined]] named in honor of the curator of this department, and one female [[underlined]] Carpodectes antoniƔe Zeled., [[/underlined]] a recently described and very rare species, both from Costa Rica.

[[underlined]] National Museum of Costa [[/underlined]] Rica, (through [[underlined]] Mr. Anastasio Alfaro [[/underlined]]). - 46 specimens, 23 species of birds from Costa Rica. (Exchange)

[[underlined]] Lieut. Geo M. Stoney, U.S.N. [[/underlined]] Washington, D.C. - 142 specimens, 57 species of birds from Putnam River, Alaska. This collection furnishes valuable information in regard to the geographical distribution of birds in Alaska.  One of the most remarkable additions to the fauna of Northern
Alaska is a [[underlined]] Picicorvus columbianus, [[/underlined]] of which
there is only one previous record north of Sitka. (Gift).
