Proves conclusively that [[underlined]] T. alpestris [[/underlined]] is a distinct species inhabiting the mountains of Southern Europe, in fact, "that there exist two distinct species of Ring-Thrushes in Europe, not withstanding the fact that hardly a single European ornithologist of the present generation ever dreams of it".
