[[underlined]] Work of Taxidermist [[/underlined]]

The Taxidermist ([[underlined]] Mr Marshall [[/underlined]]) has during June mounted for the exhibition series 29 specimens. Nearly two weeks of his time, however, was taken up by the very difficult task of mounting three specimens (a California Vulture, an Albatross, and a Frigate Pelican) in the attitude of soaring, or with fully outstretched wings. These specimens were mounted for Professor Langley's use in his experiments relating to the subject of the flight of birds, and will be returned to the Museum.

Very respectfully,
