This collection furnishes valuable information in regard to the geographical distribution of birds in Alaska. One of the most remarkable additions to the fauna  of Northern Alaska is a [[underlined]] Picicorous columbianus [[/underlined]], of which there is only one previous record north of Sitka, (Gift).
