[[underlined]] H. V. Henson [[/underlined]], Yokohama, Japan. — The type specimen of [[underlined]] Parus palustris hensoni Stejn. [[/underlined]]. (Gift).

[[underlined]] P. L. Jouy [[/underlined]], Washington, D.C. — 651 specimens, 172 species, from Korea, and Tsushima, Japan. This is one of the most valuable and interesting collections ever acquired by the museum, being, as it is, the result of several years of intelligent collecting in the hitherto ornithologically entirely unexplored country. Besides some undescribed forms, the collection contains a number of very rare species represented in but few museums, as for instance, [[underlined]] Platalea minor, Herodias eulophotes, Lanius sphenocercus, Otis dybowskii, Ciconia boyciana, Puffinus leucomelas, Urosphena squamiceps, Xanthopygia xantho [[/underlined]]

Transcription Notes:
"P. L. Jouy" may look like "Jony" but it is not. For a flowery obituary upon his untimely death, see https://vertebrates.si.edu/birds/Hall_of_fame/InMemoriamPDFs/Jouy.pdf.
