having in tow the Steamer "Wade" sailed from Plover Bay for the Gulf of Anadyr, September 12 since which time nothing has heard from her. No doubts of her safe arrival at Anadyr are entertained; as at the time of her departure and for some time after the weather was exceedingly fine It is quite probable that venturing up to Camp Macra, distant about 25 miles from the mouth of Anadyr River, the vessel was frozen in fresh water. The Party are well supplied with everything necessary for their safety besides being at one of our stations and the country in which they are wintering is well supplied with game and inhabited by friendly natives.

[[left margin]]" Geo S Wright"[[/left margin]] The little Steamer "Geo S Wright" has shown herself invaluable  She visited during during the season: Petropavlovski, Anadyr River, Plover Bay, Port St. Michael, Port Clarence, Seniavire Straits,St. Pauls Island Oanalashka Sitka and various points in the inner passage from Baranov Island to Victoria, making thorough reconnoissances of the coast where this has not already been done.
