I have the honor to report that on the 6th of June, after the river was sufficiently clear of ice, we left Markova in three "carbasses" for the Myan, carrying all our supplies.

On the Myan we found the current so swift that it was necessary to track the greater part of the way making our progress very slow.

We arrived at the Myan Station on the 10th where everything was got in readiness to commence building rafts. On the way over we found a good many of the inhabitants of Markova and Crepast who had been very successful spearing deer, so that we had no difficulty in getting fresh meat.

Illia and Constantine had speared over 200 since our parties left Myan. Being desirous of recovering Mr. Robinsons body, and of reaching the Station below on the 12th I left Myan Station, taking with me Lt. Norton and a native.

As we had a poor Carbass, and encountered head winds all the way, we were 14 days making the passage arriving at the Station June 26th.

On the way down I made arrangements with the natives to supply the rafting parties with fresh meat when they should pass by. At Telegraph Bluff we
