hard and cynical - perhaps wiser - since I came here - and I dont believe and trust men as I once did. I've learned to appreciate my own strength and the weaknesses of other people and now d---n [[damn]] them Ill [[underlined]] use [[/underlined]] the whole crowd - I alone fought the whole of them and their prejudices - and while myself maligned to Bulkley I never uttered a complaint against one of the crowd to him (except to officially report on O Donohues first rascalities) - I believe Im ten or fifteen years older in the art of dealing with mankind - and better than that I have proved practically that steady honesty will always beat rascality. - that is when combined with  proper caution & self respect. - 

Apropos of caution - Please tell Prof Cutting that I deliberately affirm Mr. ODonohue to be the biggest [[strikethrough]] liar [[/strikethrough]] and
