Mr. René Seligmann,

New York.

My dear Mr. Seligmann,

Your cousin in his last letter told me that you would be in charge of the New York house, so I am writing to you to ask if you ha [[strikethrough]] d [[/strikethrough]] ^[[ve]] either there or in Paris any good choir stalls. They need not be supreme pieces, though they must have some distinction, and they preferably should not be too large, not more than two or three at the most.

A number of people out here are asking us to find works of art for them and pieces of antique furniture, and I think we shall quite unintentionally before we leave develop quite a large clientèle.

If you have any large table that is interesting and decorative you might tell me about that too, as this same person is going to have use for a number of these.

If you have any choir stalls which seem to you suitable, would you send me the photograph and give me the exact dimensions.

Sincerely,

^[[Phyllis Ackerman]]
