Dear Mr. Godwin

I do not know whether the Vintage tapestry which Mr. Seligman has is for sale or not; he was especially attached to it, as am I myself, and I recall his remarking to me some years ago that he intended to withdraw it from sale, so perhaps it is now in his private collection. Certainly it is the finest and most important of the whole series, and warrants, in my opinion, classification as a masterpiece, which I would grant to very.very few tapestries, even of that most attractive time.

Sincerely,

Mr. Blake More Godwin
