Dear Germain Seligman:

I have been wondering about the outcome of a declaration of good intention I made a good many months ago. I said I wanted to buy the Rico Lebrun in the Chicago traveling show of modern drawings, if Charlie Cunningham didn't take it for Hartford; and if he did take it, I wanted instead one of the Bonington drawings. Each was two hundred dollars. Did Hartford take the Rico Lebrun? Yours faithfully,
