Dear Friend,

Many thanks for your kind letter. I'm sorry to learn of your poor health & I regret all the more that I have seen you so infrequently during the last years. I remember with great pleasure the visits to your gallery & the occasions when we looked at works together & discussed them. I hope to visit you when I'm on 57th St. again - I have spent the winter in Sarasota & have not yet had a chance to make the rounds of the galleries as in the past.

with warm regards,
yours, as ever,
Meyer Schapiro
