Colonel: I have the honor to inform you that the discharge paper of John Hathaway late of Co. "C". 36th U.S.C.T. forwarded to this office by the Ass't. Com'r. State of N.C. August. 24th 1867. is endorsed as follows. viz: - "Bounty & Add. Bty. 200. paid by Ctf. 328150. August. 12th 1867." across its face in red ink. Please inform me if it would be proper to forward a new application with the discharge endorsed paid- Very Respectfully. Your Obt. Servant. C.W. Dodge 2d. Lieut. V.R.C. and A.S.A. Com'r.
