In compliance with instructions contained in yours of 25th inst. I have the honor to report the following cases of destitution in this Sub-Dist. as they were reported to me by His Excellency the Governor of N.C. through the advice of Col. J.V. Bomford. This list was prepared & forwarded to His Excellency by the Warden Court of this County (Sampson making no report) and then revised by the Chairman of said Court, striking out a few names who were [[?]] considered not worthy, and adding a few who afterwards came to his notice  The revision was made after repeated conferences with me & I now submit it as revised
