The Building when completed to be used for a Freedman,s school under the auspices and direction of the Freedman,s Commission of the Protestant Episcopal Church (the principal Committee of which meet in the City of Newyork N Y) The Building to be held as the property of the Bureau The great necessity of such a building is that we are now compelled from want of room in both of our schools to reject daily applications from those who are so eager to learn that they beg to sit on the floor or on stools Benches brought by themselves rather than be deprived of the privileges of the school but we have to refuse these earnest applications because there is no possible room for them. This Building is to be located in a part of
