At an investigation held at Trinity College on behalf of the freedmen with their agent Mr. W R Frazer. Present magistrates W M Wilson and H J Harris.  The following freedmen being present came forward and deposed as follows -
[[checkmark]]Martin V B Gray - swore as follows- the only charge he had against Mr Frazer was that he Gray whipped his wife & Mr Frazer [[strikethrough]]made[[/strikethrough]] charged him a fine of $5 - not paid.
[[checkmark]]Moses Hall - came forward & said that he worked for Mr Dorsett at ditching five days at $1 per day - said work was not done according to contract & that he Moses agreed to take $4 for the work & that he had only recd 50ยข for the work Mr Frazer deposed that he viewed the work & it was not done according to contract, and the said Moses agreed to take $4 & that he paid Moses $3 at his house & $1 at Mr A G Foster's sale - 
[[checkmark]]Calvin Gray was sworn, Mr Frazer charged him $5 for disobeying orders -
[[checkmark]]Peter Lindsay swore as follows- Mr Frazer made him pay $5 for disobeying orders in aiding & abetting in the escape of a girl named Phoebie Lindsay bound out at Lixington by Col Scilly to Dr Lindsay of Lexington
[[checkmark]]Wiley Gray came came forward & swore as follows - no charge against Mr Frazer
[[checkmark]]Jas. Spruil deposed as follows-no charge -
