I have the honor to request ^[[that]] the following named destitute white people be furnished with transportation from this city to Charlotte N. C, viz:

Nancy Stearns 35 years old, Mary 17 yrs. Robertson 11 years, Susie 5 yrs. and Sarah 3 yrs

This woman belongs in Union County about 30 miles from Charlotte where she has friends If she and her family remain here they will become entirely dependent upon the Government for support. Charlotte is the nearest R. R. Station to her home.
